The Pilot Sport Cup 2 R Connect features a new design aimed at increasing the stiffness of the tread pattern for increased levels of handling and far greater stability under braking. This is achieved by using wavy summits on the plies and with additional rubber underneath the structural steel cable. Alongside this is a nylon and aramid belt providing a structure underneath which is five times more resistant to load pressures than steel whilst maintaining the same weight.

There are also new reinforcements in the shoulder of the tyre meaning you are able to increase your cornering speeds and keep these higher speeds lap after lap with less fatigue over the duration of your time on track.

Therefore, the above technical changes have resulted in a tyre capable of cornering at higher speeds and being more stable than any Michelin track tyre ever before.
